Significa has been a sponsor of Hyperion Robotics, the student robotics team of the University of Western Macedonia, for the third consecutive year, and this season the team is having quite a run.
On April 17 and 18, Hyperion Robotics traveled to Novi Sad to compete at Eurobot Serbia 2026 for the very first time. The competition is a qualifying event for the broader Eurobot championship, where student teams from across Europe build fully autonomous robots and put them through a series of demanding missions on a specially designed track. This year’s theme was “Winter Is Coming,” which pushed teams to achieve a level of precision and technical reliability that left little room for error.
For a first appearance, the result was remarkable. The team took 1st place overall and also won 1st place in the SIMAs Racing category, where their robot stood out for its speed and consistency throughout the event.
