On March 31st 2026, the Greek Embassy in Cairo celebrated Greece's Independence Day (25th of March) with a reception at the historic headquarters of the Greek Scouts, a venue that has been a landmark for the Greek community in Egypt for decades. SIGNIFICA was a sponsor of the event.
The evening brought together over 1,500 guests. The Egyptian Minister of Culture represented the Egyptian Government and spoke warmly about the historic bonds between Greeks and Egyptians and the strategic relationship the two countries share today. Also in attendance were former ministers, ambassadors, representatives of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, the Presidents of the Greek Communities of Cairo and Alexandria and members of the Greek diaspora. A highlight of the evening was a choral performance by students from the Cairo Conservatoire and the Higher Institute of Arabic Music.
For us, being part of an event like this is more than sponsorship. It is confirmation of the place we have built in the region. Since 2017, we have established our Cairo office as a key part of our regional presence, supporting clients across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the broader MENA region. Egypt is not a geographical bet for us. It is a market we know well, with people we trust and relationships built over time.
We thank the Greek Embassy and the Economic & Commercial Office in Cairo for their trust.
